Absolutely amazing experience at Kagawa Japanese in Canberra! We initially tried their food through Uber Eats a few days ago, and despite the driver taking forever to deliver it to our hotel, the food was still incredible. That convinced us to dine in, and it did not disappoint. The food quality is outstanding, prices are reasonable, and the service is exceptional. Despite being busy, the dishes came out quickly and were beautifully prepared. This will now be our go-to Japanese restaurant whenever we visit Canberra. Highly recommend!
The food is good—highly recommend the takoyaki. The portion sizes are smaller than expected, though. The beef tataki took a while to come out, but it was worth the wait—really unique and flavorful. We also tried the curry tonkatsu, which was decent. Overall, everything was enjoyable, and I’d definitely come back.
More than a hole in the wall, this simple Japanese local is a gem, where people can pop in after the gym, or to catch up with friends. The menu is diverse, and reasonably priced with one beer (Asashi) available. A real find, worth travelling to
