Rojiura Curry SAMURAI. Perth (BRAND)

Absolutely the best Japanese curry I’ve had in all of Perth! Located in Shafto Lane, this is a precious gem of a restaurant serving a wide array of dishes specialising in their famous Hokkaido curry. With up to 10 levels of spice and 6 different types of curries to choose from, there will definitely be something to suit everyone! I ordered the Samurai Special and my goodness, the Zangi chicken was juicy, skin was amazingly crisp and it goes so well with the curry! I love how much vegetables they serve you and how each individual item tastes so delicious! I only got the second level of spice and that was enough for me! Perfect balance of spice and sweetness! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! A must visit if you want to be thrown into an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in Japan!

A restaurant chain from Japan, the Hokkaido style soup curry here is quite comforting, even if the meals themselves aren't overly filling for the price. Where it excels is in the way each ingredient is cooked just right and then combined into the multi vegetables and ingredients, relatively light textured but flavoursome stock-based curry where you can choose your desired spice level heat. We tried the larger-serving Samurai Special and Pork 11 curries, and both were very good. Between two of us with healthy appetites, we could have still eaten more. However, it's still a place to go back to again for a different, more substance and probably healthier curry.

Easily 5 stars across the board! Not just one of the best meals I’ve had in Oz but in general! The curry was spectacular! It felt like I was eating very wholesome, healthy comforting food - I loved how there were so many varieties of vegetables all in one dish, and it was exciting to try a new vegetable… black fungi (it was actually my favourite!). The matcha tiramisu was without a doubt the best dessert I’ve had - I can’t stop thinking about it! It was heavenly! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive! Oh and the best part is that it is an entirely gluten free restaurant! I have already recommended this restaurant to friends and will continue to recommend to anyone visiting Perth. I hope they open one in Melbourne and expand to the UK! Fantastic!
