I’m genuinely sad to see Ageto Ramen in Canning Vale close its doors—it was hands down one of the best ramen spots I’ve found in Perth. As someone who’s tried countless Japanese restaurants around the city (and even in Japan), Ageto stood out for all the right reasons. Their ramen, particularly the Ichi and Kara varieties, was rich, flavourful, and incredibly satisfying. Honestly, it tasted just like the bowls I had in Japan—if not better. We also tried their karaage chicken and gyoza, and both were top-tier. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavour. The location itself, tucked inside the Canning Vale food court, might not look like much, but don’t let that fool you. The food here was the real deal, and the unassuming setting only added to its “hidden gem” charm. There was always plenty of parking, and the staff were warm, friendly, and more than happy to chat. On our last visit, they mentioned they might be moving to a new location nearby later this year. It’s disappointing to have discovered this place so late, just as they were closing, but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for their next chapter. Ageto Ramen is a must-try if they reopen. Easily a 10 out of 10.
some of the best tonkotsu ramen in perth in my humble opinion ! the broth is pretty standout, rich and creamy and not overly salty. the toppings are generous and flavour is well balanced overall. the aburi chashu is not my favourite but still tender and not too fatty ! overall definitely would recommend coming here, especially since it's so bang for your buck !!
Chicken karage is juicy and not too oily. I also order the spicy garlic ramen. I think the soup taste is perfect and not overly salty :) if you come from nearby welcome to try :) The food court area is interesting but have nice set up.
