It’s been a while since I last had Shyun, and it still tastes just as amazing as I remember! Back when I first arrived in Australia, their Chadstone store was my go-to. I loved their set meals – a little bit of everything, perfectly portioned and super satisfying. Lately, I had a big craving for udon, and I suddenly remembered the Chadstone shop had closed. So I headed over to their Carnegie location (not too far), and it was totally worth it. We went during peak time and the place was buzzing. I ordered the udon and my friend had the char siu ramen – both were so good! The udon was perfectly cooked with just the right chewiness, and came with a generous heap of tender beef slices. On a cold Melbourne day, it really hit the spot. And of course, I couldn’t leave without my all-time favourite: the matcha latte with matcha ice cream on top – their signature! I used to get it every time, and it’s still just as good. I also noticed they’ve opened a new shop just down the street – can’t wait to check it out next time!
What a special place this is! My wife and I returned twice during our stay in Melbourne. Everything we ate was wonderful. Great atmosphere, lovely staff. We couldn't recommend taking the time out to visit this restaurant more! I highly recommend the matcha drinks! They are the best I've had.
family of 4 had lunch here. ordered ramen, the soup is rich good flavor, a bit salty. noddle is a bit hard. overall is better than other ramen house. Kids like it.
