IKKAI was such a vibe. The hospitality was great. The staff were so friendly and helps you set up the sukiyaki set. I got the infinite sukiyaki set and the meat… wow. I was speechless. The beef was just so soft. It was honestly perfect. The sides were all great as well. Would 100% recommend.
I always enjoy coming back to this place! It’s not my first visit, and it definitely won’t be my last. Their sukiyaki is always a go-to for me, the portion is perfect for sharing, and the meat quality is top-notch. I also love their rice bowls, they’re not only delicious but also generously sized and quite affordable. Can’t wait for my next visit!
Overall: high 6/7 Reasonably big jap restaurant but still with fantastic service and feels “cozy”. Their specialty is sukiyaki, which is great, but their rice bowls are also fantastic. Though the two are at very different price points, would say both are well worth the price. Sukiyaki: 6/7 Exy! But you get what you pay for. Think this place is best for couples or small parties. The plate of beef may look a bit small but honestly is a decent amount and the whole set leaves you plenty satisfied. Beef tongue/pieces: 6/7 Huge portion, lots of sauce, lots of toppings. Great value. Ingredients are quality too. Fried prawns: 5/7 Great at half price! Bouncy prawn that’s very well fried.
