Tonkatsu (SA CITY SUBS)

I had an incredible lunch at Tonkatsu. It was busy but ordering from the QR code made a tonne of difference. I had the chicken served with sautéed onions and eggs and it was sensational. Firstly, it was piping hot and second, it had delicate umami flavours which was unreal

It's a nice enough Japanese restaurant. The food was nice, but not the most flavoursome. The restaurant itself is nicely furbished and very clean, including the bathrooms as well. Service was very quick, and I also liked the extra effort the kitchen team does for the food presentation.

Some of my favourite food in Adelaide when I'm craving Japanese style food. The tonkatsu is delicious. They have a great range of drinks and their menu has a great selection. Coming here reminds me of being in Japan which is always a win for me! Would definitely recommend their pork katsu sets and the tonkatsu sandwich, paired with a delicious highball whisky, which they have in a premix can, just like in Japan.
