The Boom Boom Room (CENTRAL QLD)

This is such a change from the usual. This is a basement restaurant and bar under the old bank building. There are private dinning corners or rooms if you choose a little more privacy. It’s a feast for the senses while enjoying a great meal and a good bottle of wine. Maybe even a cognac or single malt. It’s a must go. No kids room.

We ordered the wagyu tartare, scallops, soft shell crab roll and sashimi. Whilst we enjoyed the scallops which had quite a unique taste, the other food items were nothing special and we have had better at other similar restaurant. Specifically the ceviche was very fishy, and we raised this with the staff, they did not even apologise lmao. Cocktails were interesting and we enjoyed our selections, they were on the better end of the restaurants that we tried.

Wow. We had waited over 12 months to finally make it here. And boy was it worth the wait. Absolutely. What a culinary experience it was. Meal presentation was amazing decadent and delicious. Sake paddle was divine. Wait service was on point, Very attentive. Great ambiance. Was a treat to see the kitchen from our booth and see the smooth operation under a great head chef. Cant wait to return and will certainly be recommending to all my group of friends.
