Shinbashi Yakiniku (CENTRAL QLD)

Shinbashi Yakiniku is hands down the best BBQ restaurant in Australia. One of its standout features is that you don’t leave smelling like BBQ, so you can go about your day without anyone realising you’ve just enjoyed an epic meal. Thank you, Shinbashi, for consistently delivering top-quality food and outstanding service. I’m always impressed by your wide selection of Wagyu cuts, and the atmosphere makes it feel like dining in Japan. While I don’t drink, I’ve noticed that Shinbashi offers an extensive range of beers, sake, and other beverages to complement the meal. Plus, nothing beats the flavour of charcoal-grilled BBQ – it’s simply next-level. A special thanks to Sharon, who is always so friendly and never fails to brighten our day. The restaurant is quite busy, so better make a reservation first to avoid missing out! If you’re a BBQ lover, Shinbashi Yakiniku in Underwood is a must-visit!

11.4.2025 Friday date night! We order the Wagyu Box and Wagyu Trio to sate our appetites. The Charcoal is always red hot and reliable. The Wagyu Beef is nicely marbled and delicious. Service is fast, friendly and professional. The Owners of this well managed Yakiniku restaurant should be commended. 💯 Walked in without a booking and we were promptly seated. I ordered 2 Beef platters for both of us and they arrived in 10-15 minutes. The Beef was beautifully presented, fresh and high quality. The red-hot Charcoal brazier was perfect for grilling and we enjoyed our Yakiniku meal. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended!

Lovely atmosphere. Portion sizing was quite small for the price point. Wagyu Sirloin was the favourite 10/10. The cut of Wagyu diced premium was difficult to heat the inside without overcooking the outside, a bit disappointing. The pork jowl was nice and chewy (in a good way). Would recommend. Wakame side was standard. Complimentary chicken soup is a nice addition, a simple but good palate cleanser. Points for complimentary soda water. Good quality sauces and seasoning options. Nice strawberry palate cleanser to finish.
