Took a punt on this restaurant as it was close to our hotel, and was not disappointed. While food was a bit slow to come out, it was divine - highlights include the freshest edamame I've ever tasted, and the biggest bowl of ankake ramen I've ever seen! Dishes are on the pricier side (most main meals around $28-33) but the portion sizes make up for this. Would return!
Omg! I cannot rave about this place enough. The food here is amazing and authentic! We had dinner there the first time and we had to go back a second time. If raw octopus in wasabi is not your thing, the other menu items will impress you. The katsu chicken was fried beautifully. Soft and crunchy on the outside and tender and juicy inside. The ramen was so tasty and full of flavour. Even the fried Tuna pieces. Divine! I will definitely be back here when I visit Cairns again. We spoke to the friendly owner and he has been running this family business for 18 years. What a hidden gem.
