Hakataya Ramen Indooroopilly (CENTRAL QLD)

I had been to this store several years ago but this was my first time since it shifted locations. Attended the free ramen day for members and queued a while to get in. Sometimes these sorts of events can be a bit chaotic but this one went quite smoothly and we enjoyed our ramens. Only the standard Nagahama ramen was available for this day, but there's chilli oil and chilli flakes that you can add for a spicier take.

This resturatant is an absolute mess. They're severely understaffed and undertrained. I waited almost 45 minutes for my noodles, and no apology was even made. what's worse, they prepared and served me with the wrong order—no char siu, no pickles, none of what I had asked for. The noodles were glued into a lump, and the paltry amount of soup they served didn't cover them at all. It was a disaster from beginning to end. The service is poor, the food is average, and the entire process was a waste of money and time. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Love this restaurant and their Chermside location as well. I always get the combo meal and I'm never disappointed with the portion size and quality. While the broth isn't deep or complex, it serves its purpose and is still tasty. Honestly can't complain about the value for the price so if you're after something more traditional you can pay more money elsewhere. I will be back again 😀
