Take Sushi and Ramen Bar Newtown (LEICHHARDT)

My family and I had a super lunch here. The Teriyaki Don, Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen and Chicken Katsu Curry Rice were tasty and we enjoyed the rich, distinct flavours and levels of heat where required. The Salmon Avocado and California rolls were freshly made and kept us happy. Also enjoyed the perfectly chilled Sapporo beer and a glass of the Umenoyado Lychee Fruit sake. The service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. The team made an effort to keep the place clean, a round of applause for that. Overall we enjoyed the simple and comfortable ambience.

First time to Take for dinner last night. We walk-in and had a table straight a way arriving a little past 6. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food we ordered arrived very quickly. The restaurant is away from the main street so quiet to be a good place to chat The seating is very roomy. We had the Fish Man Roll, Standard Hiroshimayaki and an extra bowl of rice. The sushi roll tasted great however the Hiroshimayaki was unexpectedly salty for us. Not sure if it is how its suppose to be, but it does have a lot of sauce over it. In the end we had to order an extra bowl of rice to mellow down the saltiness. The positive to the dish is that its not lack in ingredients. Both the sushi roll and the Hiroshimayaki are served in very good portion and reasonably priced. I don't think I will tried the Hiroshimayaki again but will go back for the sushi and ramen.

We have been coming to this place for ramen and sushi for years and enjoy it each time. The dan dan ramen is a favourite, always tasty with a hint of spice and the sushi rolls are fresh. My partner also wants to eat here in Newtown over other places because it's always fulfilling.
