Rare Authentic Japanese Dining Experience Sushi Jones is one of those out of the ordinary Japanese restaurants in Sydney - Alexandria that is worth the experience. Firstly, it is run by Japanese people and this is reflected in the aesthetic, style and vibe of the restaurant. It is not flashy but there is care in the service, decor, and authentic Japanese dishes on which the food is served. The food itself is also simple but beautifully done with authentic tastes and flavours. What's excellent for my family and I is that there's multiple vegetarian and vegan options. Everything we had was wonderful, fresh, beautifully presented and very delicious. I was most surprised at the price. It is really reasonable. Most of the mains we had were around $18 and all the sushi etc was reasonably priced without compromising on the quality. If you're in the area, and are seeking real Japanese, don't miss Sushi Jones! P.S. The Yuzu Honey Lemon Tea was other worldly.

I really like this restaurant — my partner and I have been back several times in a short span. I think their white rice is especially good. Even though it’s just a side dish, it’s super impressive — soft, fragrant, and honestly hard to find rice this tasty in Sydney. The atmosphere and menu feel very close to what you’d find in a real izakaya in Japan. The skewers are great, and honestly, everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Also, if you stay over an hour, you can ask the staff for a parking ticket.

A real neighbourhood gem. The menu has a decent selection of clearly marked vegan options and they also make a distinction between vegetarian and vegan. Vegan putting cover most categories of the menu from entrees to noodles, rolls and grill items. We really enjoyed the spicy broccolini from the grill, the vegetable tempura roll and an udon and soba noodle soup with vegetable tempura. Beautifully presented food, delicious and incredibly good value. Really lovely service, too. Will be returning!
