The very best Japanese on the North Coast! It's a popular restaurant so get in early, prepare to wait a little OR order takeaway and eat it overlooking the river (2min walk). I have frequented Rakuu since it opened. in the past 20 or so years I have always had a positive experience. The food is perfection and prepared with care and skill. The owner is gorgeous, always friendly and willing to go above and beyond. The restaurant is small but doesn't feel crowded and bathrooms are clean. This is my favourite restaurant in the area, hands down.
We were in a rush we jumped in had a delicious healthy Japanese lunch. All food is made fresh and it’s full of flavour. Will definitely be back here again soon.
All experienced meals delicious, mouth watering and memorable! It feels like you are at home in Japan! All staff are Japanese, kind and friendly! Quality and table service excellent! My family lunch there once a week! We are fortunate to have Rakuu in Ballina! You need to have an empty tummy before going for the meals are balanced to give a 24hr satiety pleasure!❤️🙏
