I have visited OYA Bowl Bar on several occasions now and have never had a bad meal. It is nestled away next to Crust Pizza in East Gosford and can be a bit of a pain to get parking nearby however once there the service is prompt and friendly. Most mains are around the $20 mark and you can order at the counter or through your phone with the QR codes on the tables. Food has always been brought out fairly quickly in around 10-15 minutes.
Highly recommend! Amazing food, amazing quick service. Very flavoursome and delicious! We have found our new favourite place to dine!
The food was presented beautifully and arrivet hot!! We ordered oya ramen tonkatsu, gyu ramen shoyu, chatshu don and takonyaki balls. The pork was super dry on both the tonkatsu ramen and chatshu Don. Chatshu don had was too much bbq and mayo. It really ruined the dish. Both the broths tasted really similar, even though they look different. super porky but I couldn't really pick up on any aeromatics and it was bland. I think the tonkatsu has miso in it. Other than that they were pretty much the same. The gyu ramen also had really dry meat. I enjoyed the dark fungus. We added chilli oil to everything at home and that helped alot so definitely recommend adding chilli oils. The flakes on the takonyaki balls were stale. It was hard to distinguish any flavour due to the large amounts of mayo and bbq sauce. The egg was amazing! Best eggs ever had! I also really enjoyed the vegetables and the rice was cooked fine. Looks like they have some great and interesting ingredients. I loved the variety of different vegetables. It was presented beautifully just like the pictures. Unfortunately the broth and the meat are are big let down. It tastes like it was rushed. For over $80 i probably wouldn't come back :(
