  • I had high hopes for Mensho Tokyo Ramen, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype for me. We started with the fried enoki mushroom as an entrée, which was actually quite good — crispy and tasty. For mains, we ordered their signature Toripaitan Ramen, and finished with the Matcha Ichigo Misu for dessert. While the fried enoki was a nice start and the dessert was just okay, the real disappointment was the ramen. I really tried to savour it, but it just didn’t win me over. The fusion approach didn’t work for my taste at all. The meat was bland, and the broth — which I had been most looking forward to — fell well below expectations. Maybe it’s just personal preference, but I much prefer traditional ramen — hearty, slow-cooked tonkotsu broth, tender charsiu pork, and simple, balanced flavours. This experience just didn’t deliver the rich, comforting bowl I was craving. Sadly, I won’t be rushing back.

  • You wouldn’t expect to find this hidden gem tucked away in the back streets of Sydney CBD! Mensho Tokyo is well worth the wait, which starts from George Street, where a staff member greets you, takes note of your group size and any special requests, and guides you after a short 10–15 minute wait. The service is outstanding—staff are super friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is lovely, maintaining an authentic and intimate dining experience without the need for music. We tried the Lamb Ramen, Lobster Ramen, and Macadamia Ramen—each was fantastic, packed with deep, rich flavors. The Wagyu Aburi Nigiri was enjoyable. For dessert, we had Tiramisu, which was delicious. Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back!

  • Love love love the Ramen here!! 💯 Worth the hype! Their signature ramen is my fave!! With 3 types of meats. Cooked to perfection 👌The broth I drank up every last drop! Also enjoyed the crunchy frio Enoki mushrooms sprinkled on top!!Also loved the Lobster ramen😋 the Bisque was so flavoursome! There was Lobster and Scallops!! 🤤
