ohsama ramen (CANBERRA)

Had ramen dish #2 - orochyon spicy miso ramen. Was tasty and had the right amount of spice! I’d go again. 15% surcharge on Good Friday.

Wanted some weeknight ramen so came here given its decent rating and photos, but was rather disappointed. Tried their number one premium ramen, pork gyoza and takoyaki. The premium ramen seems reasonably priced as it has a variety of toppings already included and is just right in terms of portion size. Unfortunately, the broth was totally overpowered by the amount of white pepper that was used so I couldn't actually appreciate it. The chashu also seemed to be either the wrong cut or overcooked as it crumbled to pieces when trying to pick it up. Pork gyoza was good, with a nice crispy texture on one side while soft and juicy inside. The takoyaki were average - they're the deep-fried variety rather than actual fresh ones made with a hot press.

The ramen was delish! I didn’t expect it at all considering it didn’t look as appetizing as Ramen O’s but as what they say, never judge a book by it’s cover. We loved the ambience, too! The gentleman who served us was courteous. The service was quick. I highly recommend this place if you wanna dine out casually with family, friends, or even solo! :)
