ZEN Japanese Restaurant (STIRLING)

We really looked forward to this restaurant but was quite disappointed for a number of reasons. The food was so average but at the same time - overpriced! The grilled eel and fish did not taste fresh and the sushi rolls were mediocre at best. Definitely won’t be returning any time soon!

Really lovely restaurant! We came here for takeaway, and the fresh tuna and salmon rolls were absolutely incredible. They just melted in the mouth. We were also given a tea and seat while they were made. The lady behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming, such an inviting, relaxing, and kind atmosphere. The chef was beaming and very proud of his work, too, which definitely showed in the foods quality. Would 100% recommend this place!

I have been to this establishment many many times and so happy I have also bought my parents here many times. I Highly recommend getting the hotpot it’s my favourite. don’t expect the extreme flavour bomb from other style hot pot, it’s very nice and mild and reminds me of many meals I’ve had whilst traveling Japan. The eggplant was also a great dish to try, this is a flavour bomb. All other dishes are also very very delicious so there is something for everyone. Sushi and sashimi delicious. Staff are awesome too, very charming little restaurant. Hidden gem in Subi
