This is the BEST Japanese restaurant in Newtown! actually in all of Sydney. The food is seriously delicious! This is a true hidden gem of Sydney. Very accommodating to all dietary krequirements, heaps vegan and vegetarian options. Good for large groups. The vegan sushi is amazing plus Japanese beer on tap 💜Also the waiter was so friendly and helpful 😊 I’ll be back!!
Nice atmosphere with classic Japanese cuisine. Tried Neko Neko Ramen, Tan Tan Ramen, Spicy Tofu Ramen and Cauliflower Kara-age. All we tried were vegetarian. Staffs were very kind. Overall experience was good.
Neko Neko offers vegan and pescatarian Japanese food, and it is as interesting as this description hints. I had walked past this place many times without paying it much attention; it is a small, discreet restaurant that does not advertise its worth on the street, but it is charming and delightful inside. The food is delicious, and this comes from a committed omnivore who often avoids vegan eateries. If you are eating with a vegan, always a hard sell, this is the place for you. It is a bit pricey considering that no meat is involved, but not outrageously so. I particularly recommend the tuna and the sake. I had the sake 'tasting flight' which was perfect for the meal.
