  • If you love ramen and old school hip hop, which I do, then this is the place for you. I've had the Beast Ramen (Tonkotsu pork bone broth). It was rich and flavourful. The noodles were thin and cooked perfectly al dente with a nice bite. The chashu was tender, and I appreciate the balance between lean and fat. It was tender and smokey. I always order this with extra soup/broth.

  • My favourite Japanese restaurant in Wollongong! ☺️ A must have ramen and Chashu to die for! Traditional style tonkotsu ramen with a thick rich broth and thin noodle. Egg is always cooked to perfection and each bowl is made with love, if you want authentic flavours then this is the place for you. My only downfall for this restaurant are the trading hours, it’s a very tight window that they’re open on select days but for the foot I’m willing to make sacrifices and jump through hoops to get there 🫡

  • Specializing in ramen and classic Japanese snacks like gyoza and fried chicken, this place delivers on authenticity and flavor in every dish. The ramen here is phenomenal, with two standout varieties that will satisfy any ramen craving. The Beast Ramen is rich and hearty, featuring a pork bone marrow broth that’s beautifully thick and flavorful, with deep umami notes that keep you coming back for more. If you’re after something lighter with a unique twist, the Beast Black Ramen is a must-try. Made with a bonito and konbu broth, it brings a delicate smokiness and ocean-inspired richness that’s simply unforgettable. To pair with the food, Beast has a selection of Japanese beers and drinks, perfect for rounding out the experience. Everything here is incredibly fresh and prepared with an authentic touch that’s rare to find outside Japan. The dedication to quality is evident – they only make a certain amount of broth each day, so once it’s gone, it’s gone. Be sure to arrive early to avoid missing out on the best ramen in town! And don’t worry about getting sick of the same two ramen choices. There are lots of specials offering something different each week. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Japanese cuisine or trying ramen for the first time, Beast - Good Food Eatery is a must-visit.
