Hanakyo (GOLD COAST)

We are staying down near the Gold Coast and dinner time since we are on a mini break treated the family to some Japanese ramen This placed popped up during a quick search and so happy we found this hidden gem, snuck in behind the main road and next to a servo. It was only a 12 minute drive from where we are staying. Friendly staff and even better exceptional ramen. This has to be our favourite place for ramen. From the moment you walk in, it feels like home, greeted warmly We had to grab a bigger table since there was 6 of us, no problems just shifted 2 tables We ordered the following tonkotsu with seaweed Spicy tonkotsu Shio tonkotsu Curry rice katsu Karrage chicken Edamame beans Everything was great, the Spicy was spot on evenly balanced, Wife had the tonkotsu with seaweed and she was impressed and now her favourite ramen also. Must visit if you want ramen that is made with love and care, as they say, Hanakyo - Japanese ramen with a dedication to soup perfection 👌,

An authentic ramen serving Japanese noodle house 🏠 Tonkotsu ramen with additional seaweeds, had a chared-tasting soup and meat, very palatable indeed! An original Osaka Japan ramen noodle as relayed by one of the staff, thank you kindly for the information. On top of that, the noodles are superbly made, blending neatly with the whole package of ramen. A satisfying and gratifying bowl of Japanese ramen. Wifey got herself tonkotsu with standard ramen and standard soup base. The oldies got themselves shoyu ramen and a serving of karage with fried rice, another very satisfying-tummy-filling meal. Priced well with the amount of served meals. Chef Takashi had done well 👌 Hint: The stall itself is located within Ampol petrol station in # 2 Riverside Road, Nerang. Just so you won't get lost, like we did, hehe . BTW, the bowl sits on a non-slip mat, prevents it from moving while you scoop the soup or whilst you are consuming the ramen 🍜, such a nice move Hanakyo.

The staff is absolutely lovely — excellent customer service! I loved the open kitchen concept; I could see the chef carefully organizing every single piece of food to make it look perfect. It truly felt like he was preparing each plate with love. And then… I tried the ramen — and wow, it was a bomb! The broth was rich and full of soul, the noodles were just right, and the pork was seasoned to perfection! 100% recommended and they have a new consumer here!!
