Mikado Japanese Food (STIRLING)

The food was decent, but the experience was ruined by the girl at the cash counter. Her attitude was anything but welcoming—no smile, no courtesy, just an air of indifference that made the whole visit unpleasant. A little warmth and professionalism wouldn’t hurt! Customer service is just as important as the food, and this place seriously needs to work on that.

Went in and ordered the salmon and avocado maki. It came with 5 large pieces of sushi, but what was immediately noticeable was the fresh ingredients used. Sometimes avocados can be very 'vanilla' but this avocado had great flavour. The salmon was of good quality - I could even tell that they used toro (the belly of the fish) which added a great dimension of fattiness to the sushi. The staff were very friendly and seemed to know their stuff too (I overheard the nice gentleman identifying the gluten free options to another customer). I'm eager to go back and try their hot food!

Odered a teriyaki Bento box. Not sure how they can call it teriyaki when there is no teriyaki sauce! And I mean there is literally NO sauce or flavour. Just bland tofu and rice 🙃 also its expensive. The sushi is actually pretty good but most other places don't charge extra for ginger like they do here.
