Haven’t been to Edo for a while. Ordered two bento boxes, chicken karaage and beef terikayi. Both very disappointing. Came in single use type platter and paper cup for the miso. Very unappealing presentation, sushi was stale, chicken karaage wasn’t really like the authentic kind. More like fried wonton texture on the outside.
It really depends on what you order at this place. Some are great and some not so great. I had their tempura vegetable and substituted the rice with udon noodle soup and I loved it. My husband ordered the katsu chicken and substituted the rice for ramen and that was a mistake. While the katsu chicken was great, the ramen was totally bland, so definitely just stick with rice. The curry chicken, teriyaki fish and teriyaki beef were all on the less taste side. The mixed platter was good and the sashimi was okay.
The Wasabi Fish Donburi from this place tasted good. I think there were 3 pieces of fish and a reasonable helping of rice. Very good value. About 13 dollars. The Katsu Pork Bento Set also tasted good. About 16 dollars. Not a big place
